What are Weather Maps for WordPress?
Weather maps are specialized “layers” that are added on top of your maps. These layers display real-world weather patterns such as cloud cover, precipitation, wind speed/patterns, temperature, and barometric pressure. Users can even click anywhere on the map for realtime temperatures across the planet!
What weather patterns can I add to my maps?
MapSamurai let’s you include the following real-time weather patterns on any of your maps:
- Cloud Cover
- Precipitation
- Temperature
- Wind Speed/Patterns
- Barometric Pressure
Note users can click anywhere on the map when the Temperature layer is enabled, allowing them to see realtime temperatures across the globe!
What is included on the front end map?
In addition to adding any of the weather layers to your map, you have the option of adding an interactive weather layers interface. This includes an option that lets users toggle each weather pattern individually, as well as a “weather pattern predictor” which is a slider that lets users see predicted weather patterns in the following 48 hours. Both of these settings can be toggled on/off in the map settings, letting you craft the perfect mapping experience for your users.
